Terms of service.
last updated: 12 July 2026
The service
memoricAI cloud is a hosted memory and retrieval augmented generation API, plus a web console, for storing and querying context for ai agents. It runs the same open source engine published on github, operated by us as a managed beta. These terms cover only the hosted service. Nothing here changes how the self hosted, MIT licensed binary works or is licensed.
Accounts
You sign in with github oauth; we do not offer a separate memoricAI password. You are responsible for the security of your github account and for activity under your workspace. Do not share your api keys, and rotate them if you suspect they have been exposed. One workspace (“organization”) is created per account at signup; you can request its deletion at any time (see “termination” below).
Acceptable use
Use memoricAI to store and retrieve your own content, or content you have the rights to process. Do not use the service to ingest data you do not have permission to hold, to bypass rate limits or authentication, to run automated abuse against the api, or to resell hosted access without our agreement. We may suspend a workspace that violates this section, and will try to notify you first except where we reasonably believe immediate action is needed.
Your data
You own everything you ingest and everything memoricAI derives from it: extracted memories, embeddings, and summaries included. We do not claim any rights to your content beyond what is needed to operate the service: storing it, indexing it, and serving it back to you. You can export your data through the api at any time, and since the self hosted binary uses the same data model, moving between cloud and your own deployment is a data portability exercise, not a migration.
Availability
The hosted service is in beta. We aim for it to be reliably available, but we make no uptime guarantee and offer no service level agreement on the free plan; paid tiers may include a separate agreement once billing is live. Expect occasional maintenance windows and the normal rough edges of a young product.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, memoricAI and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, which, for use on the free tier, is zero. Nothing here limits liability where the law does not allow it, for example in cases of gross negligence or fraud.
Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your workspace at any time from the console, or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate a workspace for violating these terms, for missed payment once billing is live, or if we discontinue the service, with reasonable notice where practical. On deletion, we remove your workspace’s data per the retention terms in our privacy policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves, especially as billing goes live. We will post the new version here with an updated date; continued use after a change means you accept the update. For material changes, we will try to notify active accounts by email.
